It is said clean drinking water can clear a third of all occupied hospital beds in the world and 80% of illness in the developing world is related to water. When you’re feeling sick, a good portion of water can be one of the most helpful things you can sip on.

According to The Mayo Clinic, staying hydrated can help loosen trapped mucus. Try drinking at least the recommended 8 glasses of water a day to keep yourself fully hydrated, as we tend to lose more fluids when we’re sick.
