#32: Your Dishwasher
It’s a bitter truth, but no appliance is built to last indefinitely. If you’ve relied on the same dishwasher for over a decade, it might be wise to consider a replacement. While it might seem hard to believe, dishwashers do wear down over time, and one that’s been in service for ten years could be on its last legs.

Splurging an additional $300 might not seem appealing ‘just in case,’ but it’s a small price when the alternative could compromise hygiene. Detergent has its limits, and a subpar dishwasher won’t eliminate all the lurking bacteria, leaving you with dishes that may look clean but are far from sanitary.
