#51: Socks
This should go without saying, but if your socks are riddled with holes or constantly slipping down, that means it’s time for an upgrade. Whether they’re high socks or ankle socks, slippage means they’re past their prime. Keeping worn-out socks just because they’re comfy or have sentimental value might not be the best idea, especially when they start losing their functionality.
Did you know that socks have an expiration date? Typically, socks should be swapped out every six months, with cotton socks having the shortest lifespan due to daily wear and tear. For those relying on compression stockings, a change is recommended every four months, pushing it to six months only if absolutely necessary. Keeping your feet wrapped in freshness is key for comfort and hygiene.
