As in other cultures, the traditional wedding ceremony in Uzbekistan plays an essential role in the society. The bride and groom’s parents must agree to the wedding, and after they’ve achieved an agreement, they break bread together. As in other cultures, it is customary that the groom’s family pays for the wedding.
On the day of the ceremony, the bride wears a handmade and hand-embroidered outfit featuring intricate patterns in varied colors. The groom and his party celebrate in the morning by blowing horns, before heading to the bride’s home in song and dance and embark on the wedding celebrations.
