Andean Wedding
An Andean wedding is an attraction to both locals and tourists. That’s not a figure of speech; people visiting the Andes pay to get married in a traditional Andean wedding ceremony. The wedding normally takes places outside, surrounded by mother nature – the most important guest – and the entire village gathers to witness the happy event.

An important part of the wedding attire are the hats worn by the bride and her party; the traditional hat a bride wears on her wedding day is called ‘Montera’, a colorful sequined hat, which the bride wears accompanied by a sequined jacket. The food and decorations are prepared by the two families the day before the wedding.
