They say a watched pot never boils, and boy is that ever so true when it comes to making pasta. Not only do you need to prepare the ingredients for the sauce, but it seems to always take years for the water to heat up so you can cook your delicious pasta.
Don’t fear, we’ve got a hack for you. Next time try cooking the pot in a frying pan with about a quart of cold water. The cold keeps the pasta from sticking to itself. Next, bring to a boil and cook. The pasta will cook significantly faster, and you’ll have some great thickened water to add to the sauce later.
