Measuring Sticky Ingredients
I always cringe when a recipe calls for ⅔ cup of maple syrup, or a tablespoon of honey. Not because I don’t like these ingredients- because I do. They are sweet and delicious. But because these ingredients can be a real pain to measure and include in your recipe.

Next time an ominously sticky ingredient pops up on your to do list, try this hack before you reach for the measuring spoons. Pour a little cooking oil into your utensils before adding the sticky ingredients. That will help them slide in and out, and give you a more accurate measurement for whatever it is you’re making.
