Scallions for Months
Like parsley, cilantro, and other herbs- you typically don’t end up using all of the scallions that come in bundles at the grocery store. And it is certainly a bummer to have to throw them away unused- such a waste!
Next time you are left with extra scallions try this hack. First, chop the scallions into small pieces. Next, add the small pieces into a water bottle. Lastly, freeze the water bottle. So what are we left with? Frozen scallions that you can defrost for a variety of meals quickly, and in an easy pourable container so you can decide exactly how many you will need. Bonus- they will stay good in the freezer for up to 3 months.
