#1: Mammoths and the Pyramids
We tend to think of human history as being isolated from all that came before—including the earliest “humans.” First, there were dinosaurs; then there were giant mammals—sabertooth cats, woolly mammoths, and the like. And, of course, with these prehistoric creatures were the earliest people—cavemen.
What we don’t tend to think of along with all these early animals is human civilization as we know it – buildings and agriculture and society and culture. So it’s funny to think that such astounding creatures roamed the Earth at the same time as humans were already doing pretty cool things. Ah, what a time to [have been] alive!
