Chipper Jones – 1991 Desert Shield

Chipper Jones spent his entire MLB career with the Atlanta Braves. The Third Baseman and Leftfielder was one of the most famous players of the 1990s. During his 19 years in baseball, he had nearly 9,000 at-bats with 468 home runs and 1,623 RBI.

Chipper Jones’ most valuable card comes to us courtesy of the 1991 Topps Desert Shield package. In 1991, Topps released a special set, in addition to its base set, that was only available to troops serving in Operation Desert Storm. Jones’ rookie card was included in that set. A holographic 1991 Jones card in great condition can sell for around $500.
