Eddie Plank – 1909 T209
Eddie Plank started his career with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1901 and ended with the St. Louis Browns (which is today the Baltimore Orioles believe it or not) in 1917. He ended his career with 326 wins, two World Series championships, and an induction into the Hall of Fame in 1946.
Part of the renowned T209 set, this Plank card is the second most scarce in the set. The most likely reason this card is so scarce is due to printing issues. Many cards were destroyed because they didn’t pass quality control. Even some that did pass were off-center. Finding a quality Eddie Plank will earn you an $850,000 payday.
