Lou Gehrig – 1933 Goudey #160
Also known as The Iron Horse, Lou Gehrig (Henry Louis Gehrig) is still one of the biggest baseball icons of all time. The first baseman played seventeen consecutive seasons for the New York Yankees, between 1923-1939. Gherig was named All-Star seven times, he’s a one-time Triple Crown winner, and a two-times MVP (and those are just some of his accolades).

Gehrig has two cards in this set, and they both feature the same image. However, this card, #160, is considered to be more rare and attractive for collectors, which is why it’s worth $300,000. What makes it more attractive (and thus more expensive) is that it’s hard to come by one of these cards in good condition.
