Babe Ruth – 1914 Baltimore News
George Herman Ruth is perhaps one of the most well-known names in America, even for non-baseball fans. Except, it’s not his real name that will live on forever but his nickname, “Babe” Ruth. He is also known as “The Bambino”, “The Sultan of Swat”, “Jidge”, “The Colossus of Clout”, and “The King of Crash.”

Babe Ruth was a very versatile player, playing as a pitcher and an outfielder during his career. He held the lowest ERA Pitching Title in 1916 and the Batting Title in 1924. The 1914 rookie card sold for $575,000 despite it being a grade 2 because it is thought that only 10 are in existence.
