Bedouin tribes live in different areas across the Middle East; the origin of their name means ‘nomad’. As in other cultures, the groom has to pay a dowry to the bride’s father, which can sometimes be paid in animals, such as camels (Bedouin often reside in the desert, and so traditionally, they herd camels).

The Bedouin also make Henna tattoos as part of the wedding rituals, as in other Muslim cultures, which are applied to the hands and feet of the bride and groom, as well as the guests. Traditionally, the bride wears a heavy face veil comprised of jewelry and silver ornaments.
