#2: Cal Ripken Jr. – 1982 Topps Traded

Sports icons sometimes appear on the front of cereal boxes, milk containers, and the like. Cal Ripken Jr. is certainly one of them. Making his debut in 1981 with the Baltimore Orioles, Ripken Jr. quickly rose in popularity and was featured on the side of the Wheaties cereal boxes in the 1990s.

While you may or may not garner some financial gain from a Wheaties box, you certainly will make a profit with the 1982 rookie card that came in the Topps traded expansion set. For cards that are in great condition, you can expect to sell one for around $200. If you have one of these, be cautious handling it as the back can flake easily.
