#5: Kirby Puckett – 1984 Fleer Update
Kirby Puckett was drafted into the MLB and spent twelve years with the Minnesota Twins. The Centerfielder had 207 home runs with 1,085 RBI, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2001. Known as “Puck,” Kirby Puckett tragically passed away at 45 in Phoenix, AZ.
Puckett’s valuable card appears in the 1984 Fleer Update pack as well. Puckett was third in line for Rookie of the Year, behind Mark Langston and Alvin Davis, who won the ’84 RoY award. Puckett is wearing the blue, white, and Red Twins jersey in this photo. This card can sell for $200 to $500, depending on its condition.
