#22: Hank Aaron – 1954 Topps
Henry Aaron, a name that will live on forever, is next on our list. Commonly known as Hank Aaron or Hammerin’ Hank, he started his career with the Milwaukee Braves in 1954, moved with the team to Atlanta, and then went back to Milwaukee to play for the Milwaukee Brewers from 1975-76. Hank Aaron held the all-time home run record of 755 until Barry Bonds broke it (many say illegitimately) in 2007.
Hammerin’ Hank is a giant in baseball history. With a record 755 home runs, two Batting Titles, three Golden Gloves, a part of the 1957 World Series championship team, 25 All-Star appearances, and a Hall of Fame inductee, it comes as no shock to see his only rookie card sell for $357,000.
