#11: Stan Musial – 1948 Bowman
Now, let’s go back a few years to 1948. “Stan The Man” Musial stepped onto the big field in 1941, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals. He remained a Cardinal for his entire 22-year career in the MLB. You may not likely have a card from 1948, but maybe you are lucky enough.

Stan The Man’s achievements in the MLB are impressive. He was a three-time MVP (and runner-up three more times), two-time Major League Player of the Year, and seven-time batting champion; he was an All-Star player every year except his first year, won three World Series championships and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1969. His card, in good condition, can command upwards of $1,000.
