#25: Willie Mays – 1952 Topps
Next on our list is another icon of the baseball world. Willie Mays, the “Say Hey Kid,” began his career with the New York Giants and moved with them across the continent to San Francisco. His last two years were with the New York Mets.

Mays was the 1951 Rookie of the Year, MVP twice in his career, held the 1954 Batting Title, and was the 1954 ML Player of the Year. He was a 12-time Golden Glove winner, made 24 All-Star appearances, was part of the 1954 World Series championship team, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1979. In 2016, his 1952 card sold for $478,000.
