It comes as no surprise that people from other countries have countless questions about the foods we eat. However, we will admit that having a bowl of lettuce in the middle of the table is a bit off, even by American standards. So, the simple answer to this question is, no, we don’t prepare a bowl of lettuce for every dinner.

However, it’s not uncommon to have a bowl of salad for lunch and dinner. As in, it’s not just a bowl of green leaves, but we add dressing or vinaigrettes to our lettuce to make them more palatable. It actually compliments hearty dishes rather well.
