If you’re an American and you’ve traveled abroad, you’ve probably received some pretty weird questions from the locals. For the most part, their questions are derived from what they see on TV and in movies. Although real life is a lot different from what Hollywood wants us to believe, there are quite a few similarities, some of which are quite embarrassing. Here are 50 times non-Americans asked Americans questions and received some pretty shocking answers in return.
Egg-cellent question
While it might surprise many of you that Americans eat white eggs, it’s just as shocking for an American to see brown eggs. Yes, we do eat white eggs, and we’re proud of it! They’re really the only kind of eggs available in most large grocery stores.
However, as a person who’s had both white and brown, there’s absolutely no reason to discriminate against eggs of any color. They’re both delicious, nutritious, and taste just like eggs. In fact, the color of the egg is based on the breed of chicken that laid it. Most American egg producers use Leghorn hens.
