For the Italians out there who use anything but butter as a sauce, I apologize for my countrymen. It’s true, we eat buttered noodles, and I have absolutely no idea why. Looking at the millions of sauces that you can put on pasta, why stop at butter? Alas, I have no answer for you.
However, I would like to clarify that buttered noodles are not just butter and noodles. You can put whatever you want in there, such as Parmesan cheese or cherry tomatoes. But indeed, it does sound like an unordinary dish. The only commercial establishments that serve this atrocity are usually mom and pop eateries.
