There are so many different products in the world that exist only to serve a specific gender as opposed to everyone. We know what you’re thinking, “why would an inanimate object need to be associated with a gender?” And while we agree with you, this phenomenon has been occurring for a very, very long time.

We’re sure that there are still pens in the world today associated with one gender over the other, but we have no doubt it is done in a far more subtle way. This advertisement blatantly states that it is better for women because of its size. At least women didn’t have to lug around the regular “man-size jotter.”
