A lot has changed since the era of women needing to become housewives and do everything around the house. Sure, some women might still choose to live this way out of their own interest; however, it is no longer a societal standard every household holds. While it was a good thing that society eventually moved away from this, it wasn’t necessarily done in the best way.

We can understand that getting vinyl floors installed in the home would reduce the time women spend waxing the floors, but this ad plays on other things. Not only does it paint these women as less than their male counterparts, but they are also looking up at what a man presumably tells them he has come to save the day.
