There is no denying that companies like to play on the simplest, most innate desires of human beings when it comes to advertising. When you think about it, it is a pretty genius concept… How else would they be able to sell people such wild things without making it seem like they are actually selling a product or service…
Take this vintage American Airlines advertisement, for example; there is something weird happening here. They somehow connect between loving your mother, finding your mother attractive, and desiring this air stewardess. The more you dissect this ad, the more disturbing it becomes, but it doesn’t seem to bother anyone.
