One of the more bizarre things that American schools have compared to other countries are daily principal announcements. Unlike the other points mentioned, Hollywood films have portrayed the demonstration of school principals making their announcements using very high tech-savvy equipment like a TV broadcast, but this is simply not at all true.

Most of the time, principals will make their announcements through a microphone alone, and they are short messages throughout the day to keep students and teachers informed. On occasion, there will be an assembly at school where every class goes to the auditorium to listen to a guest speaker or listen to the principal’s announcements.
