I never understood why cursive was such a big deal, even as a kid. I can read it, but why does writing it matter? What benefits does it provide me? I didn’t understand the hype before computers and smartphones were such a big part of our lives, and I certainly don’t understand it now.

Nowadays, everything is done on a computer. You barely even have to hand-write anything anymore except in some odd settings. I think I made it through my final years of college without having to turn in anything by hand except for an English exam or two. But still, those Boomers can’t get over the cursive.
