Walking on Eggshells
Ok, if death-by-beer isn’t your style for keeping slugs out of your garden there is good news. There is another option and it will require saving your eggshells. Once you have saved a dozen or so, rinse them out and break them into smaller pieces.

Sprinkle the eggshells over the soil of your garden. This isn’t a foolproof method, but the idea is that snugs and some other creatures don’t like the hard, pointy feel of the eggshells, and will avoid crawling around your garden and eating your plants. It’s certainly worth a shot. Eventually, the eggshells should break down naturally.
