Honey Hack
Sometimes the roots of plants need a little extra help being all they can be. To give them an added boost, you can add another pantry item to your list of kitchen hacks for gardens. Honey isn’t just for baking or delicious in your tea- it actually contains enzymes which help promote root growth in plants.

Dip your plant roots into some honey before you plant them. You can also add a spoonful of honey to the water when you’re watering the plants to encourage even more growth. This is a pretty great secret, so we’re not sure you’re going to want to tell everyone how you got such stellar plants.
