Gone are the days of actual birthday parties… Today, it’s all about social media notifications. You know what I’m talking about – those notifications that pop up on your phone to let you know that someone you barely know wished you a happy birthday on Facebook. Who needs cake, balloons, and party hats when you can refresh your phone all day?
Of course, I’m joking – I don’t want to live this way. Some people love the pressure of posting the perfect birthday selfie to get all those likes and comments. It’s a popularity contest to get more virtual balloons on your wall. How tedious is that?! Let’s bring back the days of great parties and fun presents.
