The devil’s bridge
Here is another expectation versus reality failure. This time, it was not the view that was obscured, but rather the entire monument. The Devil’s bridge, in Germany, is so named for the shape of the tall bridge and the reflection it makes on the water below, which looks like an eye.
When this person traveled all the way from the UK to Germany to get the iconic photo, though, they were met with disappointment and surprise: there was no water to create the reflection. So, their photo was just a ghost of the one they wanted, but at least they can say they’d been there.
