The View From the Top
The View-master was created and introduced in 1939, which today seems like an awfully long time ago. Who knew they were so creative with kids’ toys back then? At one point or another, I guarantee you that you have looked through some sort of contraption based on the original View-Master.

We can only imagine that in the late ’30s, having a toy like this would have been revolutionary. Seeing colored images through cardboard disks, even though not as exciting to the children of today, the kids that came out of the Great Depression would certainly have felt differently. The toy that we knew was a little more advanced than its original prototype, but we just love simple toys.
