Action figures and dolls were a part of every kid’s childhood, mainly because they were easy to come by and we understood their purpose, no need for instructions. Stretch Armstrong, was a special kind of action figure. Not only did he literally stretch a lot, but you could also just play with him like a regular doll.

I guess it was his stretch factor that made every kid want one. In 1967 when it was introduced, kids were not used to toys being so malleable and it was very exciting. As time went on kids got less interested, but in 2016 Hasbro announced that Stretch Armstrong would be back on the shelves in his original form!
