#15: Obsolete Milk Caps
When cardboard milk caps became redundant in the 1950s, certain dairy companies decided to find another use for these round cardboard pieces. To promote a new milk drink, POG, they reinvented milk caps as collector items. And boy, do kids love collecting collector’s items.
After some time of becoming not-so-flash for children, they were reintroduced in the 1990s and took the world by storm. Being able to sit with your friends playing a game of POG was always a good time. That exhilarating feeling of knowing you are about to win was a great rush of adrenalin.
