#4: Pledge of Allegiance
It is not uncommon for schools across the world to make their students sing their own national anthem while they look up to their country’s flag. In America, every morning before class starts, the principal makes an announcement and says to everyone to all rise, and students must stand up and place their hands over their hearts, reciting the pledge of allegiance out loud.
Many other countries have their own national anthem or morning ritual in which students are supposed to honor the flag as well, so this is a common practice demonstrated worldwide. However, Americans also like to sing the star-spangled banner at sporting events right before the game starts to show their patriotism.
