I must confess I had been waiting for it for the last twenty, and here it is – the first on this list for the Spanish League. The Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Primera División, or La Liga for short, is, in my opinion, the most competitive, professional, and interesting sporting competition on the entire planet.

As you would expect of the Spanish, their league is full of plenty of intrigue, and Barcelona FC is no exception. Over the last few years the club has had problems with player contracts and financial difficulties as it tries to rebuild the team since the departure of Messi. Enough for them to slip down a few spots here, but they’re still going strong.
