#29: Yasgur Dairy Farm, Woodstock Festival Site – 1969 vs 2020
When it comes to music and lifestyle festivals, there will always be one that everyone immediately thinks of. Woodstock was marketed as a music and art fair that was to consist of “3 days of peace and music”, but it wasn’t so peaceful, with more than 400,000 attendees.

The infamous festival took place on a dairy farm in Bethel, New York, which Max and Miriam Yasgur owned. You don’t often consider the location of these festivals, but a dairy farm is a good place to accommodate 400,000 people. These two comparison photos express the sheer size of this very famous festival.
