#17: The Royal Crescent, Bath, England – 1829 vs 2020
Some countries have been living with modern architecture for many, many years, while others only recently introduced it in the last few hundred years. And by modern, we mean through the use of using modern building materials and structures.
The Royal Crescent in Bath, England was constructed in 1774 and looks completely timeless. How on earth was a building like this constructed in the 1700s? Even though it looks like some fancy government building, it is in fact 30 terraced houses laid out in a crescent.
