Gabrielle Union
Actress, activist, and author Gabrielle Union was born in Omaha, Nebraska in October of 1972. She grew up in a loving household with two supportive parents, who taught her how to be strong and independent, which surely helped her get through college and earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at UCLA.
Her acting career started during the nineties with minor guest roles in some hit television shows including Friends, Sister, Sister, and Seventh Heaven. She then moved up to bigger movie roles, and later publishing her first book. In May of 2020, Union released her first children’s book, which she said was inspired by her daughter.
