Don’t believe everything you read
Take everything “with a grain of salt,” right? The internet is a steadfastly knowledgeable place, but it’s also rife with disinformation. “Fake news media” has become a phrase that’s popped up in recent years, and we’ll even risk saying that’s the most over-used phrase of the past two years.
Not everything you find online, especially political news roaming the sewers of Facebook and Twitter, smacks of the truth. That’s why it’s important to do your own research. Boomers, who are inherently hesitant to believe anything that can’t be seen, tend to gobble up the “fake news” they abhor. It’s confusing.
