What’s in a name?
Ah, Chipotle. Americanized Mexican food that tastes so good, yet it goes right through you. Did you know that some boomers refer to it as “Chipoltay”? Well, that’s mostly the older generation. For some reason, our parents have this habit of mispronouncing names of products and places.
To be fair, most folks are probably just consumed with a fiery hunger that can only be quelled by a burrito bowl. Or tasty chips with salsa and guacamole. They’re so taken by this all-consuming hunger that they mispronounce the restaurant’s name. Sometimes going into “Chipoltay” feels like a manic dream because the line moves so quickly. Nobody’s perfect, right?
