Questionable Design Choices That Make No Sense

There comes a time when you have to put safety before beauty, and this is one of those times. This entranceway reminds us of the optical illusion books we use to look at all the time as kids. Now you see the set of stairs, now you don’t. Now you see it, now you don’t. You’re familiar with these optical illusions, right?

I don’t think the trick is nearly as interesting in person though as it is in the book. We can only imagine how many people have tripped up or down those stairs since they were installed. They should really consider getting a “beware of illusion” sign, or simply replacing those hazardous stairs. Whichever’s more convenient.
