There are a lot of ways to mess up a good croissant, and apparently, microwaving them is one of them. There’s a reason microwaves haven’t taken over the world. They are not ovens. Please, don’t microwave your baked goods unless they’re already cooked, and even then, only do it in short bursts!

There are tons of recipes online for baking in the microwave, and almost all of them have three stars or less. A microwave doesn’t cook using heat, and heat is an actual ingredient in the baking process. Yes, your item can reach 212 degrees, but that’s because the microwave is vibrating the water molecules.
