When it comes to buying new and expensive materials for your home, you don’t want to put the obvious trash out in the open for just anyone to see. Anyone could see the goods’ packaging near the trash and decide to break in and take them for themselves. That isn’t to say this always happens. It just is something to keep in mind.

Whether this person is joking or not about putting their Christmas trash in their neighbor’s bin so they don’t get robbed, it makes a fair point about others’ possible intentions. However, it might not make the best impression on your neighbors, especially on the off-chance they do get robbed.
