Splitting Up
According to a survey conducted by Zillow, around 75% of unmarried couples who live together split their rent evenly. It takes a lot of trust to do that, or at least a lot of faith in each other’s paychecks! Even so, this decision makes good financial sense for both parties.

After all, why pay more than you must for a roof over your head? Plus, if you can survive the monthly rent negotiations, you can survive anything. If you’re trying to navigate the tricky waters of joint living expenses, remember – communication is key. And maybe invest in some noise-canceling headphones.
