Canadian fitness guru Cynthia Kereluk was a fitness sensation both in Canada and the U.S. The 80s fitness craze wasn’t unique to the U.S., but it was prominent in Canada as well. In 1984, at the age of 22, Kereluk won the Miss Canada title and competed in Miss Universe. Her appearance and her cheerful personality were a winning combination.

Kereluk is most widely known for hosting the popular fitness program Everyday Workout, which ran on a Canadian network and the American Lifetime cable network. The show ran for fifteen consecutive years, from 1985 to 2000, reaching a wide, captivated audience. Besides the show, Cynthia also produced workout tapes and published books about fitness and exercise.
