#9: Where to Live if You Don’t Like School
This chart shows how much snowfall is needed before schools shut down across the United States. Using the color-coding system of blue and green, we can see that kids in states like Alaska, Maine, and Michigan show up to class even with two feet of snow cover. You know the struggle if you grew up in one of these states.
However, in many of the southern states, schools are out when the first drop is seen falling from the sky. Usually, these states don’t see much snow, so when they do, they don’t have the equipment or funds to handle it properly. But some states further north cancel with any snow, too, which doesn’t make much sense, but I’m sure the kids are happy.
