#40: A Quick Lesson in Geography
We’re lucky enough to live surrounded by beautiful land formations – lakes, peninsulas, bays, and more. But how much do we really know about different landforms? Probably not a lot. So, let’s brush up on our geography! This chart shows how to easily and visually identify different types of land formations.
The tubs in this graphic are stacked together for a reason. Looking at strait and isthmus, we see that a strait is what is left after removing a middle chunk of clay, and this middle chunk makes the isthmus. Similarly, lagoons are the leftovers after taking out a central, circular clump of clay, which forms an island.
