Who knew all the different plaid patterns had different names? A big world of plaids lives right under our noses, whether we are aware of this or not. From Prince of Wales check to Gingham, we’ve all seen these patterns before, and this chart reveals to us the names of the different types of plaids.
Buffalo check is a plaid we see a lot, commonly used for the jackets of frat boys. The darker plaids like Glen check, Black Watch, and Window Pane check we are familiar with too, often used to decorate pants for a slimming look. Now, we can all be a little more aware when we open up our wardrobes in the mornings. The more you know, right?
