#10: Calling All Gulls!

The Seagull Turk Telekom phone booth in Cappadocia, Turkey, is odd, but it seems to follow a global trend of unusual phone booths. There’s a half-formed brain phone booth in Brazil, an irregularly shaped sea-shell phone booth, and a gigantic sunflower phone booth that isn’t quite finished.

In the 2011 Ice Championships in Alaska, a phone bin Alaska booth was entirely constructed of ice. In other regions, there is a Homer Simpson mural with a phone booth in his mouth and Hello Kitty ears and a bow telephone booth. When you look at all of these, the seagull appears to be quite docile and average. The real issue is: when did this trend start?
